As random and unpredictable this project can be, it was hard to think of a set plan and structure for it. Though, as a starting point, I think it would be nice to gather a style within the glitched images, a pattern that can look nice together when curated and put together as a group of work. However, I do see the joy in ending up with absurd images that are beyond my power to control and working with those images to my taste. Basically, I plan to experiment with a variety of words and data and glitch the produced images in (also) a variety of ways. That will end in a bunch of different images, and that will help not only with creating really random visuals, but also with creating a large pool of resources to choose from.
Personally, I enjoyed the audacity glitching the most, due to how the outcomes were more visible to me and in a way I thought looked nice. However, I still plan on using other glitching programs equally because I feel they all give different styles of glitching, giving variation.
I have always worked to make things better and cleaner, not the other way around, so this project is pretty interesting and challenging in a way. I definitely prefer it better when I can see the color changing and the forms of the subject breaking. I might focus on the randomly generated and AI modified portraits and human subjects to glitch on, but this might change as I continue working. I also want to create some gifs if I end up with interestingly altered images, and I am curious to how the looping would look like, which we will get to soon.
